Wine Tannin (50g)

Tannin adds 'bite', character and astringency to a wine. Without it, a wine lacks depth and roundness. It also helps the keeping qualities of wines.

Tannin is found in the skins of black grapes, and in other fruits, so it is not always necessary to add extra.

This is a 50g tub of tannin. Where a recipe calls for cold tea, using a few grams of tannin instead will have the desired result without altering the taste.
