De-Gassing Stick

It is always difficult to get the gas out of a finished wine without introducing air and oxygen (which are not good for the keeping qualities of wines).

This device fits into the chuck of a cordless drill. It has two plastic 'blades' that fold back to allow it to easily pass through the neck of a demijohn. Once inside, the plastic bung fits the top of the demijon, preventing spills, and the blades rotate to dispel the gas and render it safe for bottling.

Can also be used in larger containers, if you have made a five-gallon kit.

Made from stainless steel and food-grade plastic, the device is easy to clean and is dishwasher-safe.
