Starter Kit - Cider

A complete kit of equipment, ingredients and bottles. Everything you need (except water and sugar) to make 40 pints of home-brewed cider at standard strength (5%), or 32 pints at 7% abv.

From start to finish, it takes only about two weeks! All you need to add is sugar, and water.

We've looked at many 'standard' starter kits and found most are not ideal.
For example, many don't include bottles;
most have a syphon tube that is too short;
several include things you don't need;
some don't make a full 40 pints;
and we've found other shortcomings.

This 'starter kit' has been selected from our stock items, and includes just what you need
... and all the equipment is re-usable for future brews!

The kit includes:

• 5-gallon fermentation bin with lid (to make the brew)
• Hydrometer (to test when it's ready to bottle)
• Long reach stirrer (most household utensils aren't long enough!)
• Syphon tube (to get the beer from bin to bottles)
• Sterilising powder (to get everything really clean)
• 20 x 1 litre plastic re-usable bottles (with screw caps)
• Country Cider concentrate - to make 40 pints at 5% abv or 32 pints at 7% abv
